Current correlators in QCD: OPE versus large distance dynamics. Abstract We analyse the structure of current-current correlators in coordinate space in large N c limit when the corresponding spectral density takes the form of an infinite sum over hadron poles. The latter are computed in the QCD string model with quarks at the ends, including the lowest states, for all channels. The corresponding correlators demonstrate reasonable qualitative agreement with the lattice data without any additional fits. Different issues concerning the structure of the short distance OPE are discussed.

Non-perturbative non-locality: V ±A correlators in euclidean position space
Using an OPE modification, which takes non-perturbative non-locality into account, the difference and sum of vector and axial-vector correlators are evaluated in euclidean position space. For distances up to 0.8 fm the calculated behavior is close to the instanton liquid result and the ALEPH data, in contrast to the implications of the conventional OPE. The determination of the momentum or dist...
متن کاملV + A and V − A Correlators at Large NC: From OPE to Resonance Theory ∗
The spin–1 correlators are analysed in this talk through a large NC resonance theory. The matching to perturbative QCD and the first terms in the OPE constrains the hadronic parameters. A further sum-rule analysis shows the wider range of validity of the resonance description, which can help to discern the proper structure of the QCD mass spectrum.
متن کاملQCD tests for Quasilocal Quark Model
We perform the QCD testing of the Quasilocal Quark Model (QQM) based on Operator Product Expansion (OPE). The quark current correlators calculated in framework of the model, are compared to their OPE in QCD at intermediate energies. The QQM provides a reasonable resolution for mass spectrum of parity doublers in scalar and vector meson channels.
متن کاملReshuffling the OPE: Delocalized Operator Expansion
A prescription for the short-distance expansion of Euclidean current correlators based on a delocalized modification of the multipole expansion of perturbative short-distance coefficient functions is proposed that appreciates the presence of nonlocal physics in the nonperturbative QCD vacuum. This expansion converges better than the local Wilson OPE, which is recovered in the limit of infinite ...
متن کاملOperator Product Expansion and Quark-Hadron Duality: Facts and Riddles
We review the status of the practical operator product expansion (OPE), when applied to twopoint correlators of QCD currents which interpolate to mesonic resonances, in view of the violations of local quark-hadron duality. Covered topics are: a mini-review of mesonic QCD sum rules in vacuum, at finite temperature, or at finite baryon density, a comparison of model calculations of current-curren...
